Transport
OPEN is located in the heart of Norwich city centre just minutes walk away from most major transport routes into Norwich including Norwich Train Station and the many bus stops on Castle Meadow and St Stephens.
By car - From London take the M11/A11. OPEN is situated in the city centre. If you are driving from the North or the Midlands, you can use the A47 via Kings Lynn or the A14 to Newmarket and then the A11 to Norwich.
By bus or coach - National Express coaches run from major cities in the UK to Norwich city centre. OPEN is less than 10 minutes walk from the bus station on Surrey Street and next to Castle Meadow.

By Train - OPEN is ten minutes walk from the train station.

Where can I buy tickets for events?
You can get them from the OPEN Box Office; we’re now taking bookings over the phone with credit/debit cards. Just call us on 01603 763111! Also you can get them from Bethel Street Police Station and UEA Ticket Office online or by phone on 01603 508050.

Are there any booking fees for purchasing tickets by phone?
If you book tickets over the phone with OPEN, then there is a 50p charge to cover admin.
Any tickets booked with UEA are subject to a £1 booking fee. -
What age do I have to be to go to OPEN?
OPEN is for young people aged 12 – 19 and, up to 25 for people with disabilities. Our events are for 13 – 17 olds.
Photo ID may be required. -
How do you ensure that OPEN is alcohol and drug free?
At all our events, everyone entering the venue is searched on the door. We also carry random breathalysing.

Is OPEN accessible for disabled people?
The venue has lift access to all floors and is accessible for disabled people.
At the London Street entrance, one of our door ways can be accessed by wheel chairs and prams and there are lifts at the Castle Meadow entrance, in the Live Venue and in the Conference Centre. -
I am a parent, can I visit the venue to see if it is suitable for my children?
You are more than welcome to come to OPEN, and if there is somebody available, then they can give you a tour of the venue. As the venue is specifically used by young people, all adults who do not work in the venue must be accompanied by a staff member.

Does OPEN offer vouchers for different events and activities?
We do not currently have vouchers on offer but this is something that we plan to set up in 2010, so keep checking back for details!

How do I know if my children are safe at OPEN?
All staff and volunteers are CRB checked and must complete a child safe guarding course. OPEN is covered by CCTV and this is monitored at all times.

What about Photography and Videos?
OPEN has photographers taking photos and video footage at events for use on its website , and social networking sites like Facebook and Youtube. By letting your young person enter the venue at events, you have given parental consent to the following. You agree to letting images of your young person being displayed on the OPEN website and its social network pages, if you wish to have a photo removed please email us at info@open247.org.uk with a description of the image, the page name or link and why you would like it removed.
OPEN has a duty of care to young people and will not use any imagery which could be deemed unsuitable or will allow individuals to be identified.
